It’s your big day & in typical British style the heavens have opened… what now?!
Rain on your wedding day might be one of your biggest fears, but there’s absolutely nothing at all we can do to control the weather, so what can we do instead? Find some tips below on wet weather weddings!
☔️
Embrace it! This is your big day, we’re not letting the weather get in the way of your celebrations. It doesn’t normally rain for the whole day – I’ll be watching my weather app for dry patches – so be ready to run out if the skies clear, or grab some clear or white brollies & head outdoors regardless!
☔️
Your venue will undoubtedly have some gorgeous indoor spaces too, if there is rain on your wedding day, make the most of it with some portraits or groups in the warm & dry!
☔️
Chat to your venue ahead of time about what happens if it rains on the day, can they move the ceremony space or drinks reception indoors, or under cover? Is it possible to move some things around indoors to make space for groups shots? Have a wet weather plan ready to go so you don’t need to spend time on the day worrying.
☔️
Don’t stress over the weather forecast – it can become consuming and ruin the run up to the wedding. The forecast isn’t always accurate until the day, and even it does rain, hail or snow, it’ll all work out perfectly! ❄️
