Lewis and Emily’s romantic, joyful Iscoyd Park wedding

What can I say about Emily, Lewis and their Iscoyd Park wedding?! Apart from the genuine joy and warmth I felt from them and their family and friends. They are the most wonderful couple, love and happiness just shone from them all day. They really did make my job easy. Wherever I pointed my camera there were smiles, giggles, hugs and even an 8 week old puppy. You can’t get better than that!

Weddings at Iscoyd Park in Shropshire

Iscoyd Park is a beautiful country house wedding venue, sitting on the borders of Cheshire, Shropshire and North Wales. Perfectly located for guests travelling to a wedding there. It’s exclusive use, which meant that it became Emily and Lewis’s home from home for their wedding weekend. They really made the most of it and the whole day felt like one big house party – with very glamorous, stylish guests!

As a wedding photographer it’s always lovely to visit new wedding venues, however places like Iscoyd Park – that I know well – never fail to impress. The grounds are stunning. With landscaped lawns, rolling fields and hidden corners to take advantage of. I can always find new and interesting backdrops for my couples, especially when I take advantage of the soft, warm light of golden hour. Knowing where and when that light will hit means I can relax and be creative, without worrying about anything else.

But that all comes later. I started the day with Emily and her bridesmaids – or should I say squad of Swifties! Taylor had just landed in the UK for her Eras tour and it was clear that Emily and co were huge fans. When Emily felt her nerves kicking in pre-ceremony her bridesmaids had her back, serenading her with a wonderful rendition of Lover, which Emily later walked down the aisle to (Taylor’s version…not the bridesmaid’s version!).

Romantic Iscoyd Park wedding ceremony

If you’ve cast your eye over my Instagram feed recently you’ll know that I’m more than a little obsessed with a peach colour palette see my recent styled shoot here – so I was overjoyed to see their peach flowers and wedding decor. Those little pops of colour looked fab against the white walls and huge windows of Iscoyd’s ceremony room – the Garden Room – and within the marquee.

Post ceremony, the celebrations began with clouds of peach confetti before everyone made their way round to the terrace where Emily and Lewis welcomed them with a champagne tower – this moment always makes for fantastic photos.

Whilst their guests were enjoying fizz and canapes, I stole the wedding party away for some relaxed group formals in front of the house’s grand entrance. The girls really brought the energy to proceedings, waving their flowers in the air and strutting in true Taylor Swift style. Eager that they weren’t outdone it wasn’t long before the ushers got involved. Culminating in a first for me – Emily taking to the skies as she was thrown up into the air by Lewis and his groomsmen! What a photo, her face says it all I think!

Non stop wedding entertainment in Cheshire

Emily and Lewis certainly know how to throw a party, they were determined to keep their guests entertained all day. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen Bongos Bingo at a wedding! Congratulations to the winning team who took home a lifesize King Charles cutout! However, the moment of the day for me (and I think for the couple too!) was when Emily’s mum called them outside to meet a very special surprise guest – their super cute 8 week old Vizsla puppy, Tilly. Just adorable!

The rest of the day passed in a wonderful blur of golden hour portraits, napkin waving, guest singalongs, a beautiful first dance and sparklers.

Emily, Lewis, I absolutely loved being part of your Iscoyd Park wedding. I’m still smiling whenever I think about it. And thank you for the puppy snuggles!
