Alcumlow Barn Wedding Photography
I always love arriving for another Alcumlow Barn Wedding as its a fave local venue of mine! Alcumlow has the prettiest surroundings, brilliant staff and the ability to make any wedding unique with your own styling. They have the option for stunning indoor or outdoor ceremonies, space for all kinds of entertainment – wedding golf and ice creams anyone? – and a wonderful relaxed vibe. This wedding is a little different as it took place during the can-we-cant-we go ahead period of uncertainty around weddings, with the rules changing just 12 hours before. At this point, couples could have up to 30 guests, and face coverings were not yet mandatory.
An intimate ceremony during covid restrictions
Kayley and Conor got married on the first weekend in August 2020 at Alcumlow Barn after deciding to keep their original date and scale back to a very small, intimate ceremony in the gorgeous dutch barn, with only the very closest family members, in keeping with the restrictions at the time. Kayley and Conor then planned a big day with a blessing and ALL of the celebrations to follow in 2021!
This was my first wedding since lockdown, and only my 2nd of 2020 – absolutely crazy! – it did feel strange to be around other people after such a strange summer of lockdowns, but I was absolutely overjoyed to be doing my favourite thing again, shooting weddings! Especially with such a lovely couple, gorgeous venue and amazing suppliers! Following the ceremony we were able to use the outdoor space at Alcumlow Wedding Barn for some portraits in the White House and grounds. These are some of my absolute fave images from their day!
I can’t wait for next year to celebrate with them all over again!
