Jade and Helen’s Out Barn Wedding
Located in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley in Clitheroe, Lancashire, The Out Barn is a private and exclusive modern barn wedding venue. With views for miles over the surrounding area, this venue is a unique spot for weddings. I was beyond excited to join Helen and Jade for their Out Barn wedding photography back in June!

How did you decide on The Out Barn as your venue?
We fell in love with the Outbarn the second we walked in.. we wanted somewhere that was really green and natural as we both love the countryside having grown up there. We loved the simplicity of having everything in one place. Plus, with friends and family in London and Scotland- somewhere in the middle made sense!
What were your favourite moments?
ALL of it!!! We loved coming with you for photos – it gave us really lovely time together and was incredibly fun! (You made us feel so at ease and like we could really be ourselves! Loads of people have said that the preview photos really capture ‘us’! Thank you!!!) The first dance and speeches were really special too. I (Helen) was definitely a little nervous about giving a speech and it’s fair to say neither of us is a natural dancer! But we both really enjoyed them and how special they felt!
What did you first dance to?
Love someone – Lukas Graham. Jade sent it to me years ago and for both of us it was a real ‘this!!!’ moment as it really reflected what we felt!!
Are you honeymooning?
We are! (Eventually…) Jade is gearing up for the Rugby World Cup in October so that is our focus right now! So, next summer we will be doing the North Coast 500 in Scotland.
How did you choose me for your Out Barn Wedding Photography?
Instagram- we were actively searching for wedding photographers on Instagram and found your page. We immediately agreed we would love to have you as our photographer. We adored the aesthetic- a bright ethereal element to photos that make them like the day (special, perfect, magical) also have this sharp realism.. the love and happiness of your couples shines through!

Wedding Photography at The Out Barn, Clitheroe
I always love arriving at a new venue and scoping out areas for photographs – I couldn’t have asked for better options when arriving at The Out Barn for the first time, with beautiful light indoor spaces and incredible outdoor spots, including a picture perfect fairy bridge, endless views and greenery. I worked with my fabulous friend Lucy Napier Film on the day and we genuinely didn’t want to leave in the evening – the venue has such a brilliant vibe!
Vegan Wedding Food at The Out Barn
I couldn’t not mention the AMAZING food we ate at the Out Barn on Jade and Helen’s day – they chose to have a fully vegan wedding with an incredible menu from The Cheshire Dining Experience, including vegan haggis and insane brownie stacks, and strict orders to fill our boots. The best!!
