A 2023 Wedding Roundup

Wow, 2023 has been an absolutely amazing wedding season, taking me to some gorgeous new venues, from Cheshire to Essex, to the Lake District, back down to Kent, and so many places in between! I photographed weddings in the snow, storms and floods, torrential downpours, heatwaves and on the hottest days of the year (blog post on what to do if your wedding is a scorcher incoming!) I was also named Best Luxury Wedding Photographer of the year which was an incredible achievement!

I got to know my amazing couples and their guests, met so many new people and suppliers, and loved working again with some of my favourite industry pals. I’m lucky enough to have spent my days photographing joy and tears, and grateful to have also been able to capture some lasting memories of a small few who are sadly no longer with us.

Behind the scenes

As always I’ve been working on my business, I built a new website and created new branding, and worked on refining my style – Still focusing on those soft natural moments you all know, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed hitting the dance floor and getting out in the dark for some night portraits too. This year I started my mini films, and have loved the buzz I’ve got from filming so I’m excited to create and share some more of those this year.

Its taken me literally hours to work go through my 2023 wedding galleries and choose these images! I started with about 1700 and narrowed it down to 500 (still way too many!) Scrolling through this post has been a bit of a moment for me. I’m so proud of this years work and how it all came together, and I can’t wait to get cracking again in 2024. I’ve got some gorgeous bucket list venues coming up this year which I’m incredibly excited about.
