Lily & John’s Merrydale Manor Wedding Photography
Located in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside, Merrydale Manor is adjacent to sister venue Colshaw Hall but is set in its own grounds. Merrydale Manor is an exclusive use venue that comprises of a grand sweeping driveway leading through parkland, gardens and lake. Despite having photographed weddings in Cheshire for over 7 years I’ve had a number of ‘first time’ venues this year, with Merrydale being one of them. Its great fun exploring a venue for the first time. I was so excited to join Lily and John for their Merrydale Manor wedding photography.
How did you choose Merrydale Manor as your venue?
We went to see it and were absolutely in love, we loved the ceremony room and booked it as soon as we could!
What are your favourite moments?
Walking down the aisle, but finding it hard to choose because everything was so lovely.

I found you through Instagram. I absolutely loveeee the light and airy style and knew it was just what we wanted. Thank you sooooo much, we will be forever grateful for the beautiful photos and for you being part of our special day. We are so happy we chose you and we are so so so extremely happy and over the moon with all the photos, they mean the world to us and you have made our hearts so full!
Merrydale Manor Wedding Photography
It was so lovely to explore the grounds at Merrydale Manor, its a dream venue for a wedding photographer, with gardens and perfect backdrops on all sides. There are some amazing spaces indoors, great for use as wet weather options. The ceremony room is a gorgeous setting for indoor groups and portraits, and the staircase and entrance at the house. I loved spending the day at Merrydale Manor and can’t wait to be back again!
Bridal Prep at Merrydale Manor
Merrydale Manor have an on site Makeup Suite. A glamorous area to prepare for your wedding and exclusive to couples who have booked the Manor House.
Another option is the Makeup Room, located next to the Bridal Suite in the courtyard rooms. It can be accessed from 11am on your wedding and is available for the duration of the day and evening. The Makeup Room is a good option if you’re not hiring the Manor House.
Groom Prep at Merrydale Manor
The Cave is the ideal area for the Groom and Groomsmen to relax before the ceremony. Located next to The Ceremony Room (away from the Bride if she is staying in the Manor House before the ceremony). The interior has a vintage vibe with a seating area. It’s a comfortable and stylish place to be and provides a lovely backdrop for pre-wedding photography.
You can choose whether you wish to play table football or chill in front of the TV or play Space Invaders on the vintage arcade game. There’s a small space to change before the ceremony too. The Cave is available from 11 am on the day of your wedding right up to your ceremony time.
Accommodation
Merrydale Manor offers 4 luxury doubles in The Manor House, 10 luxury doubles in the Courtyard rooms and a further 5 Woodland Eco Pods. There is also further, family-owned accommodation at The Dog Inn at Peover. Irlam Lodge, The Hunter’s Lodge and Eco Pods, located at sister wedding venue Colshaw Hall are also available for you to hire.
